Where Form Meets Grit. Where Road Shapes Rider.

We’re thrilled to launch Revolution Tours in the summer of 2026 with our first guided cycling adventure through Ireland. Over eight days and seven nights, guests will explore the breathtaking scenery of County Down and County Antrim, staying at The Ivanhoe Hotel, just outside Belfast. From castle-dotted villages and rugged coastlines to lively towns and quiet country roads, this region offers the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable ride.

At Revolution Tours, we believe bikes are the best way to see the world. They slow you down just enough to notice the details—the sea breeze, the sound of church bells in the distance, the smell of fresh rain on the road. Traveling by bike lets you move with the landscape, connect with local communities, and experience Ireland in a way that’s active, genuine, and deeply personal. Our goal is simple: to create journeys that leave you feeling connected, inspired, and ready to keep exploring.

Meet the Team

Paul Pelan is the director and lead guide of Revolution Tours a Belfast native with a lifelong love for travel, teaching, and the open road. After years of leading international programs and exploring Ireland’s landscapes by bike, Paul created Revolution Tours to share the Ireland he knows best— full of history, character, and unspoiled beauty. His tours blend curiosity and storytelling with the joy of being outdoors, creating experiences that are as thoughtful as they are unforgettable.

Aidan Mckegney is a local rider, guide, and all-around cycling enthusiast who knows every bend and backroad of County Down. Easygoing and full of energy, he’s always ready with a good story, a scenic detour, or a pub recommendation at the end of the day’s ride. Together, Paul and Aidan make sure every guest feels like part of the group: supported, inspired, and fully immersed in the best of Ireland.

  • Director

Revolution Tours was founded by Paul Pelan, a native of Belfast, Ireland whose life has been shaped by exploration, education, and a deep appreciation for Ireland’s complex history. He currently teaches in Humanities and Social Science at U.S. colleges and in prison education programs. He has served as a Resident Director for study abroad programs in the UK and Ireland, and led educational tours throughout Europe for travelers of all ages. With nearly four decades of experience, Paul brings together a love of history and a passion for authentic travel.

Paul grew up during a time of great change in Belfast, and that background fuels his commitment to sharing the region’s layered history with honesty and curiosity. His tours are as much about people and place as they are about movement. Every route is designed to connect riders to the landscape and to the living culture that defines it.

Paul draws from his background teaching philosophy, believing that travel itself is an act of reflection, a way to better understand the world and ourselves. An avid cyclist, Paul has completed major fundraising and awareness rides across Ireland and North America, including BOSTREAL. His passion for exploration and the love of cycling infuses each tour with purpose and depth.
